When he gave the talk he was kinda yelling into the microphone.
I was getting cross but was trying to hold it together.
WE talped the talk and it was a disaster.
It was sweet to think that Ian was there at his baptism and that
and later telling people about it..
Baptism
When my mom and dad were first married, my dad was not a member of
the church. He loved that my mom had good values and that she went to church
but he swore that he would never join my
mom's church. He said that if he did join a church he would be a
Lutheran. After 2 years my mom and dad
decided to have a baby and when I was in my mom's tummy, my dad started to go
to church with my mom to learn about the Bible. Every week he began to feel the Holy Spirit
stronger and stronger. One day he told
my mom he wanted to join our church. He
began to meet with the missionaries and learn more about the basics of the
church.
Then after a few weeks he decided to get baptized. The baptism was scheduled 2 weeks after I was
going to be born.
I would like to think that because of me & the Holy Spirit...my
dad was baptized so that he could have a better life for himself and for our
family.
When I am eight, I know I will do what my dad mom & Jesus did
and get baptized. I love my dad and am
grateful that I have a loving family who will teach me the gospel just as the
missionaries did so that when I am baptized,
I can feel the holy spirit to help me to know what is right.
My mom told me I better choose the right until that day comes or I
will be sorry. So far she has been
right.
I say these things in Jesus name amen.
